A new covenant?

(This is an updated essay on an old teaching. It is becoming increasing popular to avoid or worse yet, to nullify God’s promises to an earthly people. Some have dared to suggest that the United States is the new Israel. If this is not spiritual perversion…)

It is always best to interpret God’s word according to His views, and not our opinions.

Sadly, people have their minds made up when reading God’s word, in which case, the spirit of God cannot be the teacher.

The book of Micah pertains to Samaria and Jerusalem, not the United States of America. The prophecies of Micah apply entirely to the land of Israel, and it is spiritual thievery to take what rightfully belongs to another.

It is an insult to the spirit of God to suggest He is not clear on this promise.

Certain men cannot be trusted with the word of God, and we are accountable as to who we support, whether it be financially or with your attention. Do you recall what the Lord Jesus said to Nicodemas?  If he would not believe earthly things, how could he believe heavenly things.

So we see the importance of knowing what earthly things are, and plainly, when we read that Micah has to do with the people and the land of Israel, would you not then agree that if a man told you the book does not apply to the Jews, and Israel, then this message is not of God?

The Lord God said he would make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, yet men say that God made this covenant with the church.

One reason perhaps is the pure disdain for anything Jewish, another is the pride of life, but who are we to believe? God says he will make a new covenant with the House of Israel and the house of Judah.

Read the fourth of Micah, in the context of the new covenant, and you will see that this has not yet occurred, if we believe the word of God.

If a persons mind is closed by pride, then of course he cannot see, but a pure heart understands God’s word and his patience. Sadly, the house of Israel and the house of Judah are still divided today.

True, these people continue to reject the Messiah, the son of David, and true King of the Jews, but God has another purpose today, and by his wisdom, he has allowed all nations of the world to repent and believe the gospel.

But a covenant is conditional upon nothing other than God’s promise. God made a covenant that he would never destroy the world by flood, and proof of his word is the rainbow. A covenant has to do with the integrity of heaven, for the pillars of heaven are truth and grace.

The Arabs, Germans, Mexicans, Americans, and all nations of the world can make no claim to the covenant of God. The Germans were without God, without hope, no promises, had no law, no promises, no glory, and this was equally true of all nations.

It was with the nation of Israel alone, and centrally, the city of Zion, which is the holy city, the city of the great king called Jerusalem. And yes, the new covenant will be made with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, because the blood of the new covenant has already been shed.

This is why Israel will wail, for centuries of unbelief will fall to the feet of the Lord Jesus. Yes, many who make the claim of christian are unlearned, and others are imposters, but this only proves Gods word is true.

Now then, do we read the word of God with our mind set as a flint, or do we bow to the revelation of His word? Examine yourself and see whether ye be in the faith.
