There is buzz over this latest possibility of an Oscar for song, and it makes me smile. Joni Eareckson Tada has been instrumental in this small marvel, and I say marvel because of the field she is pitted against. Yes, but she serves a large God, where nothing is too hard.

Watch the first short vid for the context, then read the article, then watch the second vid; and tell me this is not music from heaven. Joni’s background before her accident, and her anger at God, then her ‘coming to her senses,’ then her living a life of unsurpassed passion for the person of Christ and the truth of His word, is a rare tale.
Years ago, she remarked how she could never have entered a depth of soul, and a relationship with the Lord that she would not trade for all the tea in China, (my words) but you get the point.
For what it’s worth, I am sure I can testify that Joni has no ‘Oscar’ in view, but if it comes her (their) way, she would glorify God. She is the finest example of what a christian is.
Please pass along if it has reached a good place in you. By the way, the film looks pretty darn good also.

Hi Jack,I have been a follower of Joni’s for years. She is amazing to say the least. Thanks for sharing. Mk1

Tkx mk1 for your attention and appreciation of Ms. Tada. She has long been an inspiration to many, and her consistency in ‘keeping the faith’ under adverse conditions makes this recent work (song and movie) even more substantial.
My guess? She would neither call her life adverse nor would she want pity. Would probably be a good idea to see this film on the big screen, for the visuals, and to support her work and ministry.

I was genuinely surprised–yet happy and filled with praise to God to hear about her Oscar nomination.

Y es,I listened to that song several times, and it becomes more relevant knowing her background. She is gifted in a whole lot of ways. Truly God uses the ‘weak’ things for His purpose.
