When we see ourselves on the bottom end of things, and we think somehow we are far better than this reserved parking place of trials, sufferings, and perpetual assaults, well, when these thoughts arise:
Just remember, that the Highest of All, has gone yet lower still,
and has many friends among the lowly.
all things are relative are they not?

So many things in us would change, if we just remembered and reflected more on that. Nice Brother.

Great truth there, ColorStorm. It goes against the ways of this world, but God goes right for the lowly every time. The people Christ chose to hang with, those disciples, murderers, thieves, prostitutes, and tax collectors. π

And of your bunch ib, none were lowlier than the tax collectors, yet, it was simply a profession. Yea, I have known some pretty good ‘used car’ salesmen, and I mean that sincerely, yet the stereotype is hard to shake.
Your post spoke of this too, for it is impossible to be ‘low’ without submission. Strange, for true lowliness is actually elevation in the kingdom of God. No, it’s not strange…

A very timely reminder that we are to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and He will exalt us in due time, casting all of our care upon Him for He cares for us. Thank you for sharing this. God bless you:)
