No master design? No death springing from sin? No final accounting for the life of man?
No relevance to Israel’s existence?
No difference between love and hate? (after all, it’s merely a matter of opinion) No ultimate authority? Ok then, in the words of Mr. Spock: It’s not logical Captain. I agree Spock.
Apart from God, there is no absolute and pure logic. Everything else is speculation.
When I see the moon in all it’s nightly understating, I see promise, endurance, the glory of God and His genius, the testimony of God’s faithfulness to Israel; I see His oath as immutable; I see His grandeur to hold all things together with the word of His power; I see His creatorial wisdom in leaving man with 24 hours to see His hand; I see life beyond my death, your death; I see romance; I see a temporary light for this earth similar to the sun, where these will be done away, and once more God will create all things anew. Even nature protests with a voice that there will must be a time of reckoning. Can we ignore the testimony of earthquakes, tsunamis, or tornadoes? Does not creation groan at the deeds of man? Fortunately, the same Creator left His word of truth that the created have no excuse. Unfortunately, the created has elevated himself and removed God from His own creation.
May I repeat: there is no absolute logic apart from the Creator.
If the esteemed Spock agrees that’s fine too; if not, oh well, it’s still true.

You know, God led me out of bad relationships, sometimes i didn’t want to listen, but i never regreted a dream i had or just that intuition God gave me that i would be better off leaving…God showed me his angels few times, and this is when i finally started to trust that there is God…there must be, otherwise darkness would fully cover me…God is a wonderful creator, He is so good and precise in what he designs…He takes the time to protect, teach and take care of people like a true king would do…the fool has sath in his heart, there is no God…and by default it means, he is his own god…but yet he cannot stop rain from falling down, he cannot get rid of sickness in a minute, he cannot see future….There is one God and his Son, anyone who doesn’t see that, is lost….

Every time I see an example like a “simple” spiderweb, it just astounds me. The idea that a creature could accidentally evolve to the point of being able to create such a thing. Ludicrous! Imagine scientists attempting to create their own little eight-legged nano-bot that could built such intricate and delicate, yet incredibly durable things, each one specifically tailored to fit the surroundings chosen by the spider. No two are the same. This little bug stringing it’s stretchy cables across what are massive distances to it’s own size. Can you imagine the complexity of “software” alone that would be required to program a computer with the ability perform such a high-wire act, first securing the main structural lengths, and then building the equidistant-yet-spiraling inner design? It blows my mind every time I think about it…

That is a true statement peter. You look to the created for your answers, whereas I look to the One who gives ALL life. Even if a person did not agree with this statement, one could not avoid the inescapable logic. Out of the mud appears the issues and answers of life?
Only if you look to the One who supplied the mud. Anything else is simply illogical. Keep looking at the dry works of men and the internet for your answers, you will come up hungry with one more distraction after another.
Just ask yourself Where the beginning of wisdom resides……………….

While Adam slept, God made a woman.
He made the stars also.
The law was given through Moses, grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
And of course, there are a few hundred more posts that I’m pretty sure will affirm this answer.

I love your word CS, keep writing them! God has untwisted the most impossible circumstances in my life in the most amazing and miraculous ways. To verify the existence of a creator all one has to do is look up, yet eyes clouded by jadedness and cynicism will still not see.

Oh, amen! Without God there is no logic. There is no rhyme or reason to the universe, there is no order to our chaos. We can try walking in that kind of nihilism, but that itself becomes oddly irrational in light of all that we know and all of the evidence around us. To attempt a nihilistic existence requires constant resistance, which is rather exhausting but also begs the question, what are you struggling so hard to resist and why?

Yea, that ‘little mudpie’ somehow decides it needs to ‘grow’ wings so it could ‘fly.’ Fly? What does that mean? An unthinking brainless entity having parts and particles assembled randomly and without purpose, have created life and all that is, and in the process, elevated man as ‘king of the earth,’ and convinced him ‘there is no God.’
Yea, like any logical person could sign their name next to this one.

I’m curious CS, as to what you’d say to people who use the same logic that you do, in order to prove that their god exists? Say for example, Muslims. All the arguments you’ve made here apply equally to their god Allah. Take your opening post and substitute Allah in place of God and now they have the same argument that you do. How do you deal with that?

Take one for instance. Israel. Al-lah did not promise the headship of Israel, yea rather, he (they) want it’s demise.
The God who created the moon has Israel’s back, according to His oath. There is no substitution as you would like to think. Little gods may be interchangeable, but the God of heaven and earth has no competitors.
His word is sure, unlike all other pretenders.
As far as dealing? God holds all the cards.

So I am asking you that when, say, a Muslim provides proof of (his) god (which is a different god from yours) why aren’t his arguments just as valid as yours?
Yes, what does matter? Indeed, what is truth? I am asking this because I fail to see how your arguments about your god represent the truth any more than a Muslim’s arguments about his god represent the truth, and a Hindu’s arguments about his god(s) represent the truth, etc. How do you determine which is true and which isn’t? Other than minor details, the format of the argument is identical.

Of course none of God’s universe – our world – makes logical sense – something so grand as God should not be so easily understood by man! There were times I didn’t understand Spock’s reasoning – that’s because he could only see one flat, logical dimension – Ironically, it’s actually when we search for logic that we begin to doubt. The devil has been throwing us off with his logic since he first approached Eve with it – and we all know what happened when she applied his logic!

When all other forms of argument, reasoning and excuses have been exhausted, just say “the devil did it” and rest your case. Don’t understand something? Something seems illogical? Something horrible happened? That’s because the devil did it. No further enquires or explanations necessary. Case closed.

This it not the work of the devil then? It’s because of sin? I’ve heard of sin. Who hasn’t? But that’s not what PP said – terrible things happened because Eve used the devil’s logic (no mention of the word sin). So was it because the devil did it, or was it because of sin? Or is it both? Or neither? I am in need of clarification please.
