Nothing like a good story

A ‘story’ to you perhaps, but to they who appreciate truth, light, and hearts sold out to the love of God as found in His grace, MORE than a story.
Let’s wait and see how this ‘story’ softens hearts, maybe even yours.

A story that includes the genocide of humanity. How is this supposed to soften anyone’s heart?

Maybe you should reserve comment until seeing the film?
But as a bonus thought, you may actually want to consider the
FACT that the entire world was corrupt (2018 hello??) and the thoughts and intents of the hearts were only evil continually……….and that for 120 more years God manifested patience, so don’t come here btchin about the nature of God, when it is man who is on trial, not God.
I will crush your gripes every single time with scripture, thank God. 😉 But do go see the film. You may be surprised at what you learn about yourself.

Why? A movie about a lie does not change the fact it is a lie.

Hmmm. I have trees, water, dairy cows, elephants, camels, coal, gold, blood, wind, snow, rain, sand, clouds, stars, male, female, man, woman, all on my side, testifying to TRUTH.
What do you have???
Hopefully, one of the good ladies here will find a minute to take care of my light work, as I have stuff to do.

Ha! Love that “light work.”
Until just recently in human history, when we suddenly progressed, allegedly became so, so smart and “enlightened,” we did not mock and ridicule the power of a story. Stories taught us history, morality, and the truth of human nature. Humankind has been telling stories around a campfire since forever. It’s only in our very materialistic, modern world, that we have lost our ability to see value in stories, in myths and legends, in metaphors and poetry. “Believing ourselves wise, we’ve become fools.” That statement is a truth, even though it is not written like an IRS manual, with multiple cross references and legal precedents.
I believe in the bible, I do not view it as “just a story,” and I believe that the Apostle Paul was/is a real person. But even if I didn’t, the simple act of denying that there is any wisdom and truth to be found in a “story,” would make me dumber than a box of rocks, and definitely a victim of my own flawed understanding.

Tkx for pitchin in ib, as a ‘story’ sounds like an excuse coming from your kid who took a detour home from school through the woods for a few hours, when he said he was studying science with Mrs. Rickpikett. A ‘whopper’ as it were.
Yeah, lots of whoppers in the genealogies in Matthew and Luke, the life and times of Saul/Paul per our vid here, a ‘fabricated’ life to extend a narrative that only fools would buy. Yeah ok, give me this lie that I can try to dismantle the grace of God.
Sheesh, some people’s kids. (nice idea with the i.r.s. thing too)

I am looking forward to this movie. If nothing else, it will get people talking and give us believers plenty of opportunities to witness to others.

I think so. Probably lots of biblical liberty, but that’s ok too.

My bet would be there is some, there usually is, but maybe not.
I’ll withhold judgement until I see it.
