Surely you have heard of rose-anne fame, and her on again off again romance and fame as a shock jock entertainer. What really got my goat was not her mouth (which I’m pretty sure is only her opinion and so what) but ABC coming to the plate immediately and saying something about her not sharing ABC’s values….
Did anybody catch that? Like hello, anybody home in that boardroom brain? From the place that brings you the daily rants of Joy Blowhard, oops, Behar, ABC is speaking about values? Give me a break.
Christians are mentally unstable says the bayster, and all her kin say ‘amen.’ Values? Since when? One of the vilest mouths on television (Joy the joyless atheist) speaks her rip-roaring and un-edited lava like stream of liquid feces on a regular basis,, and ABC is all of a sudden concerned with values? Really?
From the network which promotes George Steppinoverous, and the Clinton’s as saviours of the world…………..they speak of values? If they truly had ‘values,’ they could have easily let old Rosy tighten her own noose and actually stand up for ‘opinions’ or ‘freedom of speech,’ but noooooo, her speech does not fit the template, and cannot be tolerated.
So what if she spoke of the planet of the apes. Does not atheism boast of kinship with the furry friends? Are there not nice looking apes? Who cares what bonehead comment she makes? Will not the public rule the day in the marketplace of ideas and commerce? Where are all the liberal atheists defending the apes? Which is it, apes or humans which are being insulted? and why?
The whole thing is hilarious. Personally, I have no use for rose-anne, or sitcoms for that matter. Never saw the Big Bang theory, never saw 4 and a half men, (can’t stand Sheen) on and on and on, but apparently that stuff is popular. But a person’s career is terminated immediately because someone does not like an opinion? If this was a valid concern, then every TV show must end, now, because 50% will always be insulted. And btw, when did actors ever become wise people?
In the words of John Stossel, give me a break.
