Watch this

I enjoy the concept of time, the monitoring of the minutes, hours, days, months, years, decades, millenia, and who cannot appreciate the mildest expression of this through a simple wristwatch. Oops. did I say simple?

All those pieces, the intertwining and precise mechanisms, designed to catalog the SECOND. Now then believer friend or foe, and you too atheist friend or foe, (equal opportunity doncha know) can we not all agree that such a machine could not be constructed apart from intelligence?

Don’t believe me? Lay each piece on a table and watch the watch assemble itself. Watch the crawling dial move by itself and attach to the hand. Watch the numbers scribe themselves without direction and land in the precise order, 1,2, 3, 4, 5, while the bezel crafts itself as it seats perfectly. Didn’t think so.

What’s the point? Of course you already know, creation is that watch, and there is no accidental assembling of the sun, or the moon, as they move around the clock face.  Why the Keeper of time is tossed out of His own factory while Mr. Rolex is worshipped by the blind and the deaf is beyond me. But do men still worship while they are in denial? Of course, for the bastard children evolution and atheism have many offspring who all bow to something, even if it is themselves, or others with the same God given brain.

Sadly, men avoid the watchmaker while the human brain has become infected by the corrupt poison called Self, and refuses to see that the watch, or creation rather, is a finely tuned and well made result of Intelligence, period. Tornadoes do not ransack junkyards and assemble watches. How hard can this be to understand, or is it simply that Self has bought and eaten the lie that says: ‘there is no God……………,’ yet how many have sworn to you and themselves that lies are tasty, and that they satisfy the soul?

But watch this. Mankind is too stupid to know that the very watch is a constant in your face remembrance that a person cannot even tell the time without invoking God. But how does stupidity thrive in a world of the internet with knowledge a click away? The same way it has always done well, courtesy of the human heart, which does not need lying university professors to persuade them that Adam never lived, or that the world was not once deluged through water.

A man will perhaps give up his fraudulent ways when he faces for once in life his aloneness on the high seas and impending capsize, and begs for his ‘internet’ to help him, as he faces water unimaginable, the depths he cannot even conceive while he convinces himself: Jonah never lived either. Yeah, good luck with that alternate reality. The threat of a good drowning will tend to serve as a wake up call; (but had he a better captain…)

Or ask a person of their mental state while they run from a hurricane, with winds they have never seen, and the threat of their lives being ended in the next two seconds of the clock. Guaranteed they will not be thinking of finding their collectible comic books, or looking for their laptop so they can google ‘how to escape a hurricane,’ no, they will be facing death squarely in the face, with no one to blame, and no one to help.

But in this, God is blameless, while some mock. Some bless Him, while others berate Him, while going through the same turmoil. So the greater question of the day: have you ever faced your fraudulent ways and have been exposed to yourself? Well then, examine yourself, and the lesson of the watch may just take root.
