Some serious questions for one and all

Saw my neighbor last night, that effulgent and demure moon that I call my friend. MY friend doncha know, as she is there for ME. Call it arrogant, call it presumptuous, but what would YOU call it, and why is not the moon your friend also? Serious question.

moon2

There is none other like her. She does not have a twin. She was made for the earth, not one of many, but one of one. So my unbelieving or infidelic reader, ask yourself, why are there at least NOT two moons for your viewing pleasure? If you have the lack of decency to see that her creation was NOT some random act of cosmic serendipity, then do explain why random nothingness having no intelligence was responsible for cheating the earth out of more than one moon.

Why stop here though. Why not 75% of liquid dirt instead of water and oceans traversing the plains of earth? What law of chance then so graced us with water???

Further. Why not TWO suns competing for earth’s affection? Why? Why not another heat sourse that regulalates time and temperature? Answer if you can. But answer with intelligence, intelligence that can only spring from a master blueprint. Try telling the builders of the Burj Kalifa that the plans they are reading somehow assembled itself together by virtue of a sandstorm, WITHOUT an Architect. You will be laughed to scorn.

Then there is the snow. The ice. The mountains of Kilimanjaro, Everest, the Alps, Denali, Fuji, Ararat, all silent and unmoving testimony of a Builder so much greater than a thousand Frank Lloyd Wright’s. Who could argue otherwise and be correct?

Why do men so mock God and blame Him for man’s failures? Why do men not see the obvious magnificence of life itself in all its glory while focusing on maggots instead? I know why, but I’m asking questions to draw out the weakness and untenable position of life without a Life-giver.

As the leaves drop and the seasons change, we have absolute reliability that the Creator’s word and promise is good, very good even. Seedtime and harvest, hot and cold, shall not cease, and yes, a giraffe will birth a giraffe and not a lion, lest the mother have brain trauma. There is this thing called the ‘kinds,’ a matter of Genesis fact so evident today.

Wannabe intellectuals? Eh, they come and go, and their opinions as unstable as water, but aah, God’s word, as stable as God Himself. Whay then do men so resist without a leg to stand on?

    Why, indeed!

I wish there were a “Love” button for this. I DO so enjoy your reflections!

No matter what discipline you follow, the deeper you get into it, the brighter the Creator’s face becomes!

Who could, for example, go into geology, and not be utterly convinced of the Creator’s presence?

Same for… anything! Psychology? Astronomy? Medicine? Metallurgy? Economics? Mathematics? No exceptions! All lead inexorably to God, if only we allow ourselves to see the reality of it all.

“Life without a lifesaver”. Well that’s knockout phrase if I’ve ever heard one CS! Seriously, the more you think on those words the more the theory of a godless world crumbles.

Glad you’re still seeing your good friend the moon and that it inspired such a good post. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods ColorStorm!

  3. Well done, Colorstorm! The moon is my friend, too! I love the cycles and the seasons. In the winter we can’t see spring, but we can sure trust that it is coming. God keeps His promises.

I laughed at “wannabe intellectuals.” In my neck of the woods we’re always being told to “respect the science,” from people who really aren’t scientists at all. Darwin grew orchids, Bill Nye is an actor, Bill Gates a billionaire, and my Governor is a lawyer.

I love your post. Beautifully written. Its rare to find people these days that believe in creation. Do you think that the Bible is scientifically accurate as well?

Appreciate the visit, comment, and question.

Truth be told, it puzzles me as to how one cannot see the accuracy of scripture re. science.

After all, the Creator of water surely is able to leave us clues that proves His word is good in every way.

I believe there is more science IN scripture that we ignore because of fear of being dubbed ‘ancient thinking.’

If something was true a thousand years ago- it is still true.

Would you agree it depends on who makes the decision that it’s true?

Maybe nan it would be better to find common ground on the basics- things which no one can argue against?

Such as: still water is always even-
          Acorns produce oaks-
          People love kittens and dogs-

People luv bears- unless they are being attacked-

          Common ground yes?

Seems to be though (and u would disagree) that God’s word is equally visible as accurate-

(Btw- the latest push to implement a world currency/cashless etc. was perfectly recorded- long before Bill Gates was in diapers-

But tks a lot for the comment-

The Bible was written thousands of years ago, do you believe where it says that man is to inhabit the earth forever?
I am the same way, and I like your builder/creator analogy. I use it often.

Well it is true that this can be interpreted as having been true/ is true/ and will be true years from now.

If a man is right with the Lord, at ANY time- he possesses the earth in all its fullness- regardless of when/ or in the regeneration when Gid makes all things new.
