Well, not really, I’m not from that state, nor is it a lie, as it is simply a statement enjoyed by others, but yes, ‘show me’ a mistake in the book of Genesis, that masterful piece of history, geography, genealogy, anthropology, science, (true science that is) romance, decadence, spirituality, carnality, praise, curses, the unpleasantness of death, and so much more.
Show me an inaccuracy, an overstatement, a lie, something too incredible to believe, show me a fault in the text itself. Be careful though as not to bring forth something you just plain do not like. And while I’m here, SHOW ME one single source material that provides the correct origin of man, one that provides precise context for the dwelling and purposes of the sun and moon.
Show me another work where atheism is so easily defeated, where poetry and literature have no equal, and where the thoughts of men are reduced to rubble. Show me a source that records the greatest vice of men and their subsequent exaltations.
Show me one source that so eloquently speaks of the insect and beast. Show me one source that so elevates womanhood. Show me one place that explains apparent contradictions and why. Show me a source so full of mystery and awe. Show me a place where man’s mouth is stopped entirely.
Show me ONE work of reference that so encapsulates the learning, progression, and understanding of humanity that also includes man’s end of days. Show me ONE place wherein the contents of holy writ can be rightfully challenged.
Show me a defect worthy of discussion. Show me where the scriptures are not actual, factual, logical, and most reasonable. Show me where the divine trifecta of the compass, the level, and the plumbline have a challenger.

SOM for example is as Left Field as they come in the realms of idiotic religious drivel yet even one as oddball as he is acknowledges the scientific fact of evolution. Oh, and he also accepts the earth is definitely not flat!

Your reference is what happened as a matter of fact. The Bible’s credibility is seen when we read of things so extreme- David killed a man. A king tried to kill David. A woman nails a man’s head to the ground- You and I hopefully are free from such things.
Heck, just listen to todays news- people thousands of years ago would blush that we question things they did.

Life was hard then and people died young, but having to die because a man chose to ejaculate on the ground to prevent a pregnancy is extreme madness. So why did God not just wave his hand and create a pregnancy as he has done before?
What will happen to all the Christians who have used a condom to prevent a child, will they get to heaven? Maybe the anti abortionists should condemn men and women who kill at sperm level because God obviously states through this action that is where life begins and is a good reason to inflict death on a man.

Judah, the head of the family orders a fellow to impregnate a woman, and you wonder why God puts him to death? Please note that Judah told Onan to do something Onan knew is obligated to do.
In those days, widowhood was not a good thing. Being childless was also looked down upon. Thus, Judah effectively told Onan to take responsibly for his brother’s wife by making her his own. In addition, Judah wanted Onan to ensure his brother would be remembered by raising up offspring to him.
Consider that the custom was documented in a later book.

Amen, Colorstorm! There are no mistakes. I have no idea why anyone would try to dispute the flood, last time I checked there was some clear fossil evidence and near universal agreement that something catastrophic happened.

Recently I listened to a great talk, “Geometry and the Imagination,” attempting to define the nature of a sphere. Most of it got math heavy and began to sail over my head, but it was interesting because we cannot fully explain the difference between a plane and sphere. Also, the earth is not even presented as a sphere at all, but thought to be a bit catawonky. At best we are a mis-shapen sphere with a tilt at the poles. This actually presents some problems, as you know from having tires with flat spots. Why do we even stay in orbit? So you see, none of these things are “settled science,” the very notion of “settled science” being about as unscientific as you can get.

Indeed the ‘science’ is never settled is it. What is true today was false yesterday, and what was false yesterday is true today. Nauseating to hear of the ‘settled facts’ that bely the smell test.
I’m not so sure though why many believers fear even discussing things such as your sphere. Maybe our comfort is questioned? Anyway, my go to line is ‘we are not insects,’ that have gifts withheld from humans, such as clinging to a ceiling for hours like a bug, being perfectly content/ or like an ant who can traverse a basketball and remain unshaken.
But yes, that whole water thing, and the fact that there is ‘so much’ water in this world, and that clouds speak to ‘the waters above’ are things so clear to an unbiased mind- that it is remarkable that we take such things for granted.
Goes without saying too that men and women are equal as to favour, but so different in distinction. 😎

I did a quick search and came up with nothing to support your assertion.
As CS does not do ‘Link Pong’, could you name the site or the scientific body/ institution that has the evidence you mention?

It’s not “ground breaking” at all. There are fossil records and a generally accepted idea that a flood did happen, perhaps even creating the Black Sea. These things have been discussed everywhere, even within pop culture, from ABC news to the Smithsonian magazine. It’s not breaking news.
