Folklore Christianity: Flat Earthers?

Why reblog? Because ib22 is fearless in discussing anything that is considered fringe by the masses. Her credibility is heightened and strengthened when she says ‘i don’t know.’

Nonetheless, many so-called leaders of ‘science’ refuse to engage the topic at all, citing the conversation as useless, which oddly enough, is the antithesis of true science, which welcomes all inquiry and demands evidence.

Personally, I stay away from the term FE, but I do like Fe as in ‘iron.’ But check out her site if you are unfamiliar, as there is a ton of legendary content.

See, there's this thing called biology...

First let me say, I am quite fond of several flat earthers. They have blessed me, taught me a lot of significant things. For one, just look at this little meme. How do you know if what you believe is a genuinely held belief, well reasoned, a matter of personal conscience and conviction, versus just believing in something because it’s popular and socially acceptable, and demanded of you?

Become a flat earther, you’ll find out real quick.

So I have a great deal of respect for anyone brave enough to question the narrative, to dare to suggest that perhaps we should think critically and ask some questions rather then simply complying with what we’ve been told and swallowing the narrative whole.

Ai yi yi, you have no idea how prophetic that notion has been over the past couple of years, but I digress. I’m just going to say one thing…

For those interested, we’ve known for over 2000 yrs. No nasa, kubrick,Photoshop or computer graphics involved. Just a guy with some sticks and some time to work it out. You’re welcome.

Yeah, another guy not happy with the earth- and his stick theory. Geez. I suppose he thinks a man can walk upside down on a basketball like an insect. You may want to reconsider-

Also, I could provide link after link- and choose not to- so not interested in link pong-

“Up and down” are relative positions to the surface. Gravity “pulls” to the center of the earth and hold us here, whether on this “side” or the opposite of the sphere. I’m not a scientist, but the physics are pretty solid and reliable. No need to rely on the perspective of people thousands and thousands of years ago, before the advent of science, math and tools of investigation. But as IB said, secondary issues. It’s just difficult for me to understand why someone as intelligent and well thought out would still believe that the earth is flat. It begs credulity.

  2. Thank you for your kind words and for the reblog, Colorstorm.

I have no idea why this matter provokes so much offense? Scientists and math geniuses much smarter then me are currently discussing quantum mechanics and whether or not the universe is really a hologram. I appreciate these things because they help to keep us more in a childlike state of wonder and awe about the mysteries of God, rather then believing we have all the answers.

Yep, what was ‘settled’ yesterday is ‘unsettled’ tomorrow. But I too appreciate the fleshing out of assumed theories, and dare to question/doubt the so-called geniuses.

Btw, the kind words are easy to give, as you have proven over many years a well balanced and thoughtful approach- someone said years ago to count those you know, then found your friends- and true enough per your meme- even the few tend to dwindle.

Maybe Musk or Branson will give you a trip into space one day CS to see for yourself. How can you believe that thousands of scientists are lying in 2022 when you believe without doubt in the stories written by bronze age primitives thousands of years ago?
What about this part passage from your own rule book CS this may mean you?
    Proverbs 18:1-19:29 ESV
Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment. A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.

Right out the gate Steve u have no standing, for the ‘wisdom’ you cite must be consistent with the ‘wisdom’ found in the scriptures, which wisdom is high above Musk.

You cannot quote ‘a’ and not believe ‘b.’ Wisdom
as the starting point gives the Creator the courtesy of existing. So it appears your focus is on people who are not wise. They know how to make money, but Hollywood is filled with dunces.

Now then, would any rational builder take on a project where his foundation moves? The Empire State Building. Do you really think it is reasonable to assume the iron men – who were standing/ walking/ balancing while the steel went up, were MOVING/ SPINNING/ GYRATING/ at insane speeds as they worked? No.

The only movement was the crane/ the ropes/ the clouds above. You are forcing a ‘theory’ into a reality that does not work. And yes, what one sees from ANY height is not curvature, but the obvious distortion from a lens designed to show curve.

Surely u have seen motorcycles going ‘over the curve’ in a parking lot too! There are thousands of proofs that say I am correct, but people are lazy and rely on others to maintain delusion.

    You are unbelievable CS

  5. sklyjd says:

You do not get the concept of size CS. Believe it or not there are many people who are far brighter than you or I who have explained why you do not feel the Earth spinning and flying through space around the sun.

You simply have no desire to want to acknowledge the physics or scientific facts because your mind has been fully absorbed into an extremely sensitive and dedicated emotional state creating intense rejection of everything. Just as any political diehards and Islamic radicals we have come to know over the years you will never be able to understand anything past the ideological doctrines of your faith that is ruling every aspect of your life. Good luck to you CS.

    • ColorStorm says:

Size? Sure I do Steve. And it’s called proportion. I don’t care how big a ball is, sooner or later you will be forced to walk up then down, then under.

An insect can do that without the aid of ‘gravity.’ Not sure why you cannot see that. The United States is a fruited PLANE, with examples as Kansas and FL being dead horizontal. Level. Impossible if there was a curve. Ever heard of sea level? It’s not sea ball.

As to ‘learned people?’ needing to tell me my eyes are lying? No. You nor any other living creature has seen the earth move. You have your theories, but when tested with reality, they fall like a house of cards.

      But Tkx for engaging.
