You cannot be serious….

Heard a stat recently re. children and suicide. Children. Young girls and boys, not yet men and women, children, whose minds are still developing, like fawns not yet mature, still having spots, who are taking in the world around them, being cautious, inventive, creative, cheerful, playful, who are seeking friends and wanting to fit in, kids, 10 yrs old, old, curious, active, full of pep and asking tons of questions.

Well, lots of these kids are contemplating, or have committed suicide. Yeah, how dark is this. But what makes the needle of rage go off the charts, is one of the ‘leading reasons’ for the consideration to end a life at such a young age: ‘global warming.’

YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS……… How dark must be the days, how tragic are the times, when we see young ones whose lives are full of ambition, youth, vigor, end it all??? Global warming? (no, I will not link the idea)

I refuse to believe it. And where did this information come from? The deceased? The ones interviewed who are considering end of life? Of the thousands of reasons a person would pull the plug on themselves, global warming is one of them?

Let’s take a small road trip and visit society shall we.

There, that house on the right, modest looking, 2 cars in the driveway, basketball hoop, small garden, American flag on porch, if I didn’t tell you about it, you would drive right by- just another brick in the road. But inside.

Alyssa at age 9 found out her friend Lauren is ‘transitioning’ to a boy. Lauren’s parents are divorced, and now has two mothers. Lauren’s sister at age 8 found out drugs are easy to get and hates all teachers. ‘Adults are stupid.’ (that’s another story) Alyssa has a homeless uncle who was a Vietnam vet- her dad is a govt official who writes grants for lbqgtbvd groups. Her mom is an ER nurse. Alyssa’s other friend Sara has a brother who identifies as a turtle. He walks slow too. Like I said, average houses on main st.

Mom tells her about the daily visits of young kids and mental health, trying to hurt themselves, doped up, having parents who maybe don’t care………..dad tells her ‘We need to care about people who want to make their own choices, living lives of freedom from rules, living lives where we can all be who we were meant to be……..’ hmmmm, ‘maybe Lauren is really a boy just wanting to get out of that girl uniform………..’ and Dad is trying real hard to justify his job.

Then there is Alyssa having to ‘choose’ and ‘delete’ which friends are masked up or not……….maybe thinks she would be better off living on Mars……. (again, which is promoted via newsfeeds)

Yeah, while the homeless brother is cared for……….and while these mixed signals are sent to children whose minds are like sponges, sucking up every word of contradiction and hypocrisy.

There is something terribly wrong with a child wanting to end his life. Global warming is a bastard of a reason, while ignoring the influence of social media, peer pressure to ‘fit in’ with all kinds of decadence and depravity, drugs, gender crap, it’s no surprise that a child whose mind is developing, that’s flooded with a daily overload of assaults on common sense and reason, just can’t take it- and the young one is not at blame.

Are you happy ye evangelists of gender fluidity? Are ye happy, ye preachers of covid lockdown? Are ye happy, ye drug peddlers? Are ye happy, you who say the family is irrelevant? Are ye happy Hollywood, which promotes porn to young minds? Are ye happy ye news sources who broadcast the very idea of suicides, to children who never would have thought such a thing?

But global warming one of the leading cause of children suicide? Uhh, ye do greatly LIE. And I will refrain from even addressing the most obvious lie of all: that da#m globe thing to begin with.

The groups that write these articles, and the govts that back them with funding, are set up to lie and deceive. Period. They ignore real world experience. Perhaps they mean well, but deception is a tricky thing. If the covid era has not brought that to light, nothing will, but be careful not to offend one of these little ones. Where are the voices of opposition who dare to challenge such insane views of children’s suicide?

Bastards is a good word today. Old English, Webster only.

  1. Amen, Colorstorm. We’re telling kids there is no God, nothing is fixed not even your gender, and the planet is about to dissolve in the fires of global warming hell. It’s just an abomination. To make matters worse, we’ve just spent the past couple of years isolating them and terrifying them with constant covid fear mongering.

Feeling safe and learning what you can count on are really important foundations for kids to build lives upon. If they learn nothing is safe and nothing can be counted on, it just does immeasurable harm.

Abomination may be too kind a word, it’s that bad. Couldn’t believe it when I heard GW was one of the top reasons.

These people pulling the strings are devils, with apologies to Satan…..if it’s even possible. Better to tie the millstone…….

“There is something terribly wrong with a child wanting to end his life.” Cannot agree more CS. I believe the child that is bullied at school and has depression often due to bad parents, friendships and a raft of other reasons. I doubt most children and teenagers would really understand the global warming aspects to want to end their lives, sounds like you got this information from a religious site against climate change.

Nope not at all Steve. References to God were non existent.

I don’t even recall the word religion used either. No added hype- just the sad facts. But the collapse of world wide society can be seen at every level/ and at this young age is by the way just more proof that every word of scripture is true.

Yes the collapse of civilisation is happening and climate change is a huge part of that, you really have to be blind to not see that. A major war is underway and it will be a long time that we will have to live under the threat of a nuclear war. The political extremists QAnon conspiracies, the racist groups and the lies from the mouths of some outspoken Republican representatives is toxic and one of the reasons they lost the midterms. Extremists do more damage than you can imagine CS we have recently had policemen gunned down by 3 right wing crazy QAnon conspiracists, brainwashed academics and school teachers they were. The US is becoming a festering pit of snakes with anti democracy, anti social and anti establishment as it’s agenda. Unfortunately much of your countries negative influence spills over into the rest of the world. Americans will have to sort this out for their own good, God will not help them and even if he existed I doubt he would want too.

Let’s not forget public schools that are more like prison camps. I didn’t spent a full 12 years in one of those Hells, but still well remember the sadistic teachers, the corrupt administrators, the gangs, the bullies, the drugs, the disgusting food—today they have routine lockdowns, armed police, metal detectors, frisking and searches too—no wonder kids want to die. The alternative to that of course are the tender mercies of the so-called Child Protective Services/Juvenile Justice System where kids disappear and are never heard from again.

We have scheming people running our government. Last time I checked, angels were not running Australia.

The people running our government are at best grossly incompetent. Unfortunately, they have worked the system with their crony capitalist allies so that are now extremely difficult to remove from power. You don’t agree? You have it better in Australia? I doubt it. As far as I can tell, you have the exact same problem.

What is the problem? Instead of being educated, we have been indoctrinated. The USA spends more on education than any other country, but the results don’t show scholastic competence. The best students have just been raised to be the most docile to authority. That includes listening with humble deference to the lies coming out of the so-called mainstream news media. The end result is that the average American does not know to be a good citizen. We are supposed to run our government, not be run by our government, and that use to be true of Australia too.

Believe me Tom, you are the indoctrinated one. We in Australia do not have our politicians inciting violence, supporting QAnon or racist groups. They understand the people in this country do make the final decisions and politicians that cross the line are soon gone, unlike the US where you have some political and religious idealist judges making and changing laws.

You may think the world will come crashing down around you because the nasty Democrats and atheists are making some changes, however in your comments you always seem to have this impending doom and that could be a physiological or a psychological cause that can include anxiety. I think you will find if the country does not erupt into anarchy due to conspiracies and politicians lies everything will be okay because I rate that at least half of the citizens are smart enough to see through the BS.

You have the same sort of mainstream news media we have here. And what do they do? The teach you to call the people who disagree with you names. QAnon! Racists!

I was at the mall when Trump gave his speech on Jan 6. He did not incite anyone to violence. Big Tech, Big Government, and Big Media actually do conspire against the people. They do it in Australia too.

Why do nations erupt into violence?

James 4:1-3 New American Standard Bible

4 What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is the source not your pleasures that wage war in your body’s parts? 2 You lust and do not have, so you commit murder. And you are envious and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, so that you may spend what you request on your pleasures.

Violence erupts when people start caring more about getting their own way than they do about other people. When people start seeing other people by their race, gender, disability, sex, creed, ethnicity — anything that has nothing to do with their heart, soul, and mind — then those people don’t see other people. They see objects to be manipulated.

So Tom the Jan 6 attack was set up by the Democrats, media, Biden, anyone but Trump and his gang of coronies? Our mainstream media cannot be compared with yours by any kind of margin, lies are exposed by people that care about this kind of corruption, and the media are quick to jump on each other to highlight any assumptions or lies. We do not have the oppenly intense nasty attitudes against other political parties or the LGBT people. We do not have people taking to the streets with guns with the intention to intimidate.

Australia is basically a secular country and I cannot believe the US is anywhere near as good in many respects such as hospital care, education government administration, unemployment benefits, childcare etc, or anywhere near as safe as Australia, figure that one out?

To emphasis the danger of guns, I went to Los Angeles in about 1972 or 73 with two mates of mine I knew from school days, we walked from the LA airport to the hotel on the huge wide unused foot paths as we could see it in the distance and we could not get a taxi. When we were halfway the police pulled over and warned us about getting mugged and shot if we walked around LA. Of course we took no notice because we were 3 tough guys 🙂 But we did hire a car and drove up the wrong side of the road:) I did enjoy that trip to LA and we met some real nice people and drank plenty of Buds.

Guilt by association is bad logic. Why would you want to use such logic to “prove” someone is guilty of a crime?

Australia is your country. I don’t claim any special knowledge of Australia, and I have no interested in arguing about the place.

Because it is populated by human beings, we know Australia is not paradise devoid of sin. Do I have prove that? Seriously?

You want to believe your country is better than the United States? Great! Can we send you our illegal aliens? You want LGBT people? You are welcome to as many as you can convince to move. If you like Liberal Democrats so much, then you should vote to open up your borders and use other people’s money to invite the riffraff of the world into your country.

When I grew up, no one gave much thought to gun violence. That changed as our society became more secularized.

When we divide people into identity groups and insist that they must adopt the values of their identity group, we encourage people to dehumanize each other.

Like it or not young black men are more likely to commit crimes in the USA. Young black men grow up in predominantly urban areas run by Democrats, and they attend rotten, expensive schools run by Democrats. They shoot each with guns. Those young black men shoot each other, not the guns the acquire (mostly by already illegal means).

Skyljd: To add a little to Tom’s comment, in the US we actually have (relative to other countries) considerable parental rights and freedom of choice in education. The problem is that very few people here utilize those choices or stand up for their children’s rights. There’s also considerable institutional discrimination against homeschooled or parochial-schooled people, even though studies show that they are far better educated and more psychologically stable that public-school turnouts.

The US was one of the last Western countries to mandate schooling between certain ages though it was widely practiced here at community levels. The system was modeled on the USDA’s farm-extension service and it worked well early on. There is a mandate for schools to hold Parent-Teacher Association meetings regularly; School Board members are elected and their meetings open to the public; and individual parents can demand one-on-one meetings with public school teachers and administrators. But sadly most American parents don’t care enough to bother with oversight of the schools. Most Americans can’t even name their own State Governor, let alone the State Superintendent of Schools—even though it’s an elected office in all 50 States. The real reason that the schools are in the shape they’re in is because of what IB said in a recent post: “they do it because they believe it is acceptable and they think they can get away with it.” They can, and they do.

The Night Wind: We have the same parent-teachers, elections and in some cases parents can attend classes as an assistant if they wish. If parents want to homeschool or send their kids to a religious based school there is no problem. I went through the public school in NZ and my daughter to a public school in Australia and she is as well educated as any private school or homeschool kids I have known.

I understand the school system in the US is not the best overall and ranks down at about 27 for education along with healthcare, it seems maths and science being a major problem according to the Pew Research Centre. It goes without saying if public education is becoming that poor it really pays to go private or homeschool. I find parental help after school or professional after school tuition can be the answer if a child is struggling.

If people power is what you want to change the system it has to be what is acceptable across society or they do not want change. I understand a lot must be done to change the system, however changes should not be subjected to any particular ideology in a public school. This would not improve the education of the child or improve the system and would be a disadvantage for the child’s future. The fact that society is slowly becoming more secular and diversive is also a reason idealogical beliefs should be of a personal choice and not part of a state educational system.

sklyjd: I think that you’re American parents too much credit for actually caring about what ideology is taught in public schools. I worked for some during the 90s and have been involved in reform efforts for decades; and I’m convinced that the vast majority of parents here only want a government-subsidized babysitting service—sort of like a 12 year extension of daycare. The parents who actually DO care are already using private, parochial, and home-schools. In fact, something like 30-40% of public school employees in our State send their own kids to private schools.

Where that leads vis-a-vis ideology is that ideology in the public schools are largely being pushed by activists and interest groups. A lot of big Corporations and NGOs have been insinuating themselves into the system for the last two decades especially; and it doesn't take a lot of campaign funding to win school board and State Superintendent elections since most are local and don't generate a lot of public attention. Therefore, Regulatory Capture is easy to accomplish too.

I have searched most websites CS and I still think “you have been done like a dogs dinner” the old saying used to be, and these are overwhelmingly the main reasons for young and older people’s suicide:

        mental health problems.
        bullying or discrimination, including racism.
different types of abuse, including domestic, sexual or physical abuse.
bereavement, including losing a loved one to suicide.
        the end of a relationship.
        long-term physical pain or illness.
        Depression and alcohol disorders.
        Previous suicide attempts.

I do understand man will destroy the world if man does nothing about it. People like yourself CS who say it is all in their god’s hands whatever god they believe does not have a real grasp on reality. Does your God or any god guide man, it appears to be unlikely since no man or woman has come forth as the saviour of our planet.

True, it’s a lie in that GW should not be on that list of depressions etc- the greater point is this nonsense is promoted as fact meant only to frighten the weak.

CS do not follow the anti crowd in regards of climate change. We have to do something because the planet may not support human life one day, regardless of what causes these extreme weather events. There are 5 million deaths a year to abnormal temperatures according to a world first international study led by Monash University.

I do not see that this will have extreme effects on all countries for many years, however some of the low lying islands in the Pacific are slowly being swallowed by the sea already and poor countries are finding it harder to produce food crops causing increased malnutrition. I do not believe this is a conspiracy invented by fools to frighten people, I would expect a nuclear war, catching cancer or being killed in a car accident would be priority over that one.
