The little log cabin

Little but not easy to build. Unless of course you are a grizzly bear, with those broad shoulders to carry heavy logs, and those claws which can shred a tree to a plank within  minutes. Wait a sec, that’s not true is it?  Hmmm.

Some serious questions for the godless then to consider:

Did our bear friends lose their ability to build such a housing project, let’s say, from 120 million years ago? Or was it 13.4 billion?  Get those two mixed up.

Did our bear friends EVER have the ability to build such a structure?

Will our bear friends EVER have the ability to build a cabin, complete with a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and a den? When, and why? Why not?

And WHAT determining factor will decide whether the bear will acquire blueprint reading skills, and whether he will hold the hammer in his right hand or his left?

Ah yes, questions which are tighter than a steel bear trap, questions which expose the utter, complete, and devastating failure of godlessness, and questions which deal a fatal blow to false science.

So, the believer in the living God who knows without a doubt that God created all things, patiently awaits the circus antics, endless excuses, and Houdini like magic needed by the godless, to explain questions which have perfectly sound answers, based on reason, fact, science, and of course scripture.

(Disclaimer: I know, I know, I’m just a non thinking person who does not understand Evilution…..still, some very good questions. Careful how you answer  😉

  2. a bear simply amazes me—that during hibernation a “sleeping” mother bear can even deliver a cub, never having a need to eliminate waste —as during the “hibernating” state her body is in some sort of near coma like experience—functioning yet not as she or he has not even a need of eating… for months at a time—rather simply remaining in that state between life and death…and if someone doesn’t think that there was a Greater hand involved in such a unique wiredness for such a trememdous creature…well such a thought is beyond my soul!

  3. Well said. I am reminded of what King David said:

Psalm 10:3-5New American Standard Bible (NASB)

3 For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire,
And the greedy man curses and spurns the Lord.
4 The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him.
All his thoughts are, “There is no God.”

    Be blessed.

  4. Well said!

LOL, I’m chuckling here because recently I was having a similar thought, but not nearly so grand. What’s with all the outhouses? Anybody ever seen a bear build an outhouse?

Oh the depths of the sublime in the simple, yes msb?

Well good for the bears and their outhouses…….. they use one wherever they want…… lol

That’s the real story here though. Bears defecating in the woods. The environmentalists should be going crazy over this, but noooooooooo, not a word.

In all seriousness, do you think about they who visit our blogs on a regular basis with gripes about God, scripture, creation; and how they manage to avoid questions which exposes the total intellectual bankruptcy of a world apart from God.

……..while at the same time our faith is strengthened.

I’m picturing in my head a housing community of homes built by bears, each with ample storage areas for honey and climbing trees in the backyard. 😉

I thought of you while at a lecture last night from a BioLogos scientist speaking of what astronomy is revealing to us about God when she got to the topic of stars and the life sustaining elements released when they explode. Fascinating stuff!

    He made the stars also….indeed!

Nice Trish. I was talking to a nurse last night, and asked if she saw the moon today. She said no, and thanked me for pointing it out. It was daylight, so I guess she had no reason to look up. lol

But our bears. They do what they are designed to do, and there are no defects in them, even if they ripped my head off. But I can beat them in a game of chess!

Awesome compliment you paid me by recalling past convos, etc. Love that ever so demure ‘He made the stars also……….’

A fav of mine as you no doubt know. 😉 😉

    • and speaking of—we were watching a show last night about the animals who call Yellowstone home—much in line with our bear topic—but they showed a family of beavers at work and what happened when their pond was flooded, their dam breached and how they had to start over from scratch when the pond drained.
Did you know that to survive the winter, the parent beavers had to take down almost 100 trees and bring about 5 months worth of sticks and leaves into the den for their family of 5 to survive the winter?? I was amazed—and I’ve said it before, the beaver is the hardest working animal out there—and if God can do for those beavers by providing their ingenuity and abilities to take down whole trees and provide their fur with the protection from the frigid water and the teeth to cut and the taste for sticks, just imagine what He has done for us—how folks can look and animals and say there is not God is beyond my soul….

  6. Bears just need a few more million years to evolve to be able to build a log house. Just you wait and see.

    Regards and goodwill blogging.

Yessiree, that’s a convenient excuse for not facing the obvious.

God made the bear, and He made humans. Two distinct kinds, and never the twain shall meet.
